Nora Jean Young Vaughn (88) of Walton, KY passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at her home. She was born in Wooten, KY on October 14, 1931, daughter of the late John and Rhoda Wilson Young.
Nora was a member of Nicholson Christian Church, Kenton Co. Ladies Auxiliary and an Eastern Star. She helped with church work and was an emergency technician for Kenton Co. Fire Department.
In addition to her parents, Nora is preceded in death by her husband Litton Vaughn (1991) who she married Dec. 12, 1957, daughter Brenda Kay Mull, brothers Virgil, Dealous, Alonzo, Oscar, Manual, Enoch and Roscoe Young, sisters Ethel Osborne and a grandson Adam Mull.
Survivors include her son Larry Vaughn, sister Delphia Hooten, grandchildren Joshua Vaughn, Amber Trenkamp, great grandchildren Paige Vaughn, Cody Trenkamp, Kaitlyn Trenkamp, Jayden Vaughn and Gavin Vaughn.
Visitation will be held 10-1pm Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Nicholson Christian Church in Independence. Funeral will immediately follow at 1pm also at the church, under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home. Nora’s final resting place is at Gardnersville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to American Cancer Society.
