Kenneth Gene Hisel, 77, of Butler, KY, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at River Valley Nursing Home in Butler.  Born on August 15, 1942 in Grant County, KY, he was a son of the late Samuel Richard and Eva Mae Parker Hisel.  On November 19, 1962, he married Donna Taylor Hisel and his dear wife of 57 years preceded him in death on February 4, 2020. In 1966, he joined the former Liberty Cherry and Fruit in Covington, KY, where he was a forklift operator. He also drove a school bus for the Pendleton County School system for many years and ended his working career with almost ten years as a Wal-Mart greeter, a job which complimented his outgoing personality, fun-loving nature, and compassion for others.  He was especially proud of having served as a Union Steward with Teamsters Local 100.  He loved his family and friends and time with both was even better when it centered around some good food.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 8 siblings:  Robert Hisel, Clara Whitton, James Hisel, Juanita Winkle, Lester Hisel, Jay Hisel, Ruth Kendall, and Mary Lou Greenwell.
