    The Pendleton County Ladycats put together another banner week on the fairways and greens as the club took part in three tournaments and finished with their best performances in quite some time.
    On August 4, the team played in the Grant County Invitational and broke their previous team record by shooting a team score of 384 to finish in sixth place.
    Leading the Ladycats was senior Emilie Bertram as she fired an 8-over score of 77, with an even par back 9 to finish T-3 out of 65 girls and picking up another medal. Freshman Cailyn Harper posted her personal best of 92, next was Reese Barlow 100, Stormy Ward 115, and Shelby Eckart 125.
    The next day, the Ladycats found themselves right back in the mix, with a team score of 382 and finished sixth at AJ Jolly Park.
    Bertram shot 81 and finished 7th place among 65 girls. Followed by freshman Reese Barlow having her personal best of 91, Cailyn Harper 96, Stormy Ward 114, Shelby Eckart 121.
    The team concluded their week on August 7 competing in the Shelby County Invitational, where 98 girls were competing and some of the best teams in the state.  
    Bertram led the Ladycats to again their best team score of 367 by firing a 6-over score of 78 and finishing T-14. The team finished in 9th place overall of 17 teams. Next position was Reese Barlow with 93, Cailyn Harper 96. Stormy Ward 100 and Shelby Eckart 115, both improved with their best season scores.
    The Ladycats finished the week with three top 10 finishes where they picked up All- State points which puts them closer to qualifying for the All-State Tournament In Lexington on Sept. 19-20.
    “If they achieve this great accomplishment I ask for all that can, to please support our Ladycats in some way even though it may not be possible to come watch because of Covid-19 guidelines,” said coach Rob Bertram.
    “They have in their sights a team score of 339 which will set a new school record, I’m confident that they can reach their goal with four more tournaments left in their regular season,” Bertram added.
    This week, the Ladycats will be competing in an away match at Harrison County on August 11 and then traveling to compete in the Montgomery County Invitational on August 15.
