Help Daisey’s Dream come true
The Humane Society of Northern Kentucky is partnering with Pendleton County to build a new animal shelter that offers quality care to the unwanted, abandoned, neglected, and abused animals in the area. Since 2000, the staff and volunteers of the Pendleton County Animal Shelter have tirelessly pursued these dreams and worked to make the shelter as comfortable as possible while giving homeless animals, who would otherwise be forgotten, a second chance for a happy life. With limited space and an inefficient building this has not been an easy task.
For this reason, the shelter is pursuing a dream to do more for the animals of Pendleton County. “Daisey’s Dream” is that every animal will find a warm, safe, and loving home like hers. Though small and outdated, the shelter has housed an average of 320 dogs per year. In 2014 alone, 300 dogs’ lives were saved.
You can help make this dream a reality!
“Any donation to our capital campaign will bring us one step closer to our goal,” says Janet Scanlon, president of the Humane Society of Northern Kentucky. “And, during this season of giving, we encourage our County residents and friends to consider a gift to the animals of our county. Gifts can also be made in honor of, or in memory of, a loved one.”
Let’s show everyone that the residents of Pendleton County understand what Mahatma Gandhi so eloquently said, “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
