Donations could bring cemetery back to life

    Twenty-five thousand dollars is a large sum of money to earn in two months, but the Lenoxburg Cemetery has been offered that sum as a donation from one anonymous family. The catch?

Valentine hired as first Code Enforcement Officer

    Pendleton County Fiscal Court has embarked on a concerted effort to cleanup eyesores in the county and their first soldier in this battle is Kevin Valentine.     He was hired as the first Code Enforcement Officer at a special called meeting on Tuesday, October 20.

Moore recognized with young farmer award

    Ethan Moore was awarded the Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer Award this year in recognition of his excellence in the work he has done and continues to do daily on his farm.       He is the son of Brett and Rhonda Moore, and he graduated PCHS 2013.

Butler building razed

    Make room for beauty; the old corner building is gone.  The City of Butler owns the building that recently stood at 219 Matilda Street, and now there is just an empty lot where it stood.

Court discusses multiple issues facing the county

    In a caucus meeting that had discussions on a variety of topics, no major issues were addressed and moved forward on.     Judge Executive David Fields did inform the court on some items that would be on the agenda for the regular scheduled meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13.

You will be casting your votes on paper ballots on Nov. 3

    Just as voters did in June for the primary election that set up the combatants for the general election, voters who vote in-person either in Rita Spencer’s County Clerk office starting on Tuesday, October 13 and/or on Election Day Tuesday, November 3 will do so on a paper ballot.
