Rescue response time questioned in man’s death

By Nila HarrisBUTLER — More than 30 firefighters and citizens converged on the March 11 Northern Pendleton Fire Department board meeting in the wake of the death of resident with a medical emergency. It took an ambulance 28 minutes to show up.

Fire department land buy still divides fiscal court

By Nila HarrisFALMOUTH — Donald Logan lived almost 100 years in Pendleton County.The founder of the Logan Lumber Co. passed away Feb. 14 at the age of 95.Make that, 95 1/2.“A half counts when you’re my age,” Logan would tell his family.Logan was born July 5, 1928, in a house on Highway 22 East.
