Red Cross granted new car

Mary McDowell, Red Cross representative for the region, received a car recently to conduct her work with the Red Cross. She has been without a designated vehicle for some time, and Covid set the process back more.

McDowell shares that the car is used mostly for runs to support emergency services and to make trips where she is called to work in Red Cross capacities. During Covid, she was unable to canteen fires and work other long-running emergencies with the first responders. Now, she not only can make those runs, supplying them with snacks and drinks as they work, but she can also use the car and the resources the Red Cross provides to do so.
