Kentucky State Police Post 6 investigating a shooting in Pendleton County

Dry Ridge, Ky. (March 29, 2023) – At approximately 3:15 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 6 in Dry Ridge received a call about a male subject who had been shot on Ruby Ridge Road. KSP personnel along with the Pendleton County Sheriff’s Office and the Falmouth Police Department responded to the scene. Once on scene, law enforcement located one male subject suffering from a gunshot wound and one male subject with a non-firearm related injury to his arm. The subject suffering from a gunshot wound was transported by air care to University of Cincinnati Hospital and the other subject was transported by Pendleton County EMS to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Grant County. At this time, what occurred at the residence is still under investigation by Post 6 Detectives.

 

UPDATE: Through the investigation Clayton Latham (21) of Pendleton County has been charged with Assault 1st Degree, Attempted Murder, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. There was an altercation between Mr. Latham and another male subject. During the altercation, Mr. Latham discharged a firearm striking the victim one time. He has been lodged at the Bourbon County Detention Center with no bond at this time. This incident remains under investigation by Post 6 Detectives.
