Adam Hardin was erroneously released by the Bourbon County Jail without requiring him to post the $10,000.00 cash bond set by Judge Delaney in Harrison Circuit Court case number 23-CR-00079, wherein Hardin is charged with Arson in the Second Degree, Wanton Endangerment in the First Degree (2 Counts), Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, and Operating a Vehicle with an Expired Operator’s License.  On 8/14/23, Judge Delaney issued a bench warrant for Hardin’s arrest based upon Hardin’s erroneous release.

Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Pendleton County Sheriff’s Office, Falmouth Police Department, and the Kentucky State Police, were involved in the search for Hardin.  During this time, Pendleton County Deputy Sheriff Kyle Florer charged Hardin with Wanton Endangerment in the First Degree (Police Officer) and Fleeing or Evading Police in the First Degree in a Motor Vehicle in Pendleton District Court case number 23-F-00045 for allegedly fleeing and evading capture on 8/19/23.

Ultimately, Hardin was arrested by Lexington Metro Police Officer Brandon Baker on 8/25/23.  When Hardin was apprehended, Officer Baker also charged him with Burglary in the Second Degree, Fleeing or Evading Police in the First Degree on Foot, Public Intoxication, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, and Theft by Unlawful Taking (2 Counts) in Fayette District Court case number 23-F-02722.

Hardin is scheduled for a review in Harrison Circuit Court case number 23-CR-00079 on 9/5/23 at 9:00 AM, a preliminary hearing in Fayette District Court case number 23-F-02722 on 9/7/23 at 8:30 AM, and a pretrial conference in Pendleton Circuit Court case number 23-CR-00059 on 10/4/23 at 9:00 AM.  He does not yet have a court date in Pendleton District Court case number 23-F-00045.

I appreciate all of the law enforcement officers involved in the search for and apprehension of Hardin, and I would like to thank anyone who provided tips and leads as to Hardin’s whereabouts.  As always, the aforementioned charges are merely an accusation, and the Defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
