Lift-a-thon is back!

We are ready to hit the weights again! Each year, boys dedicate themselves in the weight room to be better football players. Not just in the fall though. No, these boys lift through the winter, spring and summer! They will showcase just how much strength they have gained this year in this awesome event.

Each individual has their own goals in the weight room based on their development path. The boys test out on the Bench Press, Squat, Dead Lift and Power Clean to add up to a Total Lift sum. Some boys are hoping for several hundred pounds, while others are looking for totals well over 1000 lbs.

To add extra motivation, we have turned this already great event into a fundraiser of sorts. The boys will be asking for pledges per pound they lift. The more weight they lift, the more money that comes into our program! These funds are used to provide meals to the team during our July Team Camp and also for snacks and drinks on the way home from away games.

We ask for pennies on the pound, so a pledge of one cent per pound for a 1000 pound lifter comes out to be a $10 pledge. Make sure to ask your lifter what their goals are for this event, they love talking about it! We have had people pledge all the way up to a Dime per pound before, just be aware of what you are pledging and who you are pledging for! If you don’t want to fuss with the math, please feel free to make a flat donation to this player as well.

The players are using 99Pledges to facilitate the pledge process and take donations. Please use this platform to make your donation to the lifter. Instead of needing cash or checks, all you need is a credit or debit card to make this safe transaction. And, although we will never turn down cash or a check, this process through 99Pledges makes things much simpler. Please see the website below or scan the QR Code at the bottom.

Each player is hoping to raise $100 dollars in pledges for this event, but is always encouraged to raise more.  If you want to do more,  please feel free to contact the Coach and talk about sponsorships and other opportunities to make an impact on our program. His information is below.
