Rumpke Awards 2023 scholarship to two Pendleton County grads

BUTLER, Kentucky – June 9, 2023 – Rumpke Waste and Recycling awarded two Pendleton graduating seniors Allison Hall and Anna Redden with $2,500 scholarships.

“Rumpke hopes to assist graduating seniors achieve their career goals by providing two exceptional Pendleton County students with a scholarship to continue their education,” said Adam Rumpke, vice president. “Allison and Anna are two driven individuals who embody Rumpke’s attitude of hard work and care for the community. We know they will go on to accomplish great tasks.”

Hall participated in a variety of extracurriculars throughout her time at Pendleton. She held the position of senior class treasurer, student ambassador for Craft Academy and special project student leader for Hazel Green Academy. Additionally, she participated in the National Honor Society, Student Council and Varsity Cheerleading and Tennis. Hall plans to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Louisville. Hall looks forward to applying her knowledge and passions to real-world problems.

Redden also took part in many extracurricular activities. Some of her recent leadership positions include Public Relations officer for the SCUBA Club, assistant editor of podcasts for the Kentucky United Nations Assembly, Student Council corresponding secretary and Future Business Leaders of America reporter and historian. Redden also has numerous academic awards and multiple hours spent volunteering in her community. Redden is looking forward to a career in advocacy. She plans to study Public Relations.

Rumpke offers annual scholarships to graduating seniors in Pendleton County pursuing a two or four-year degree at an accredited institution, including vocational/trade schools, after graduation.
