The long awaited MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET at Kincaid Regional Theatre (KRT) opens Friday, July 14, 2023 at 7 p.m. The show features the story of the night rock 'n' roll legends Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley came together on December 4, 1956 at Sun Records in Memphis, TN. Audiences are in for a theatre outing unlike any recent production at KRT, with LIVE musicians onstage to play an incredible score of rock 'n' roll, gospel, R&B, and country hits. In addition, KRT will be debuting updated light and sound equipment to make the patron experience more thrilling and submersive.
Showcased hit songs include “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “Walk the Line,” “Sixteen Tons,” “Who Do You Love?,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” “Hound Dog,” and many more.
Friday's Opening Night will include a handful of special moments, including local wines and charcuterie boxes provided by Pendleton County's Rose Hill Winery. KRT encourages audiences to dress up in Fabulous Fifties attire and enjoy a small display of 1950s automobiles in the theatre's parking lot. Opening Night, the doors will open at 6 p.m. for audiences to enjoy the special offerings prior to the show. For all remaining performances (July 15-30), doors will open 45 minutes prior to showtime. The performance will begin at 7 p.m. with a running time of 93 minutes with no intermission.
