This Palm Sunday we are continuing with “Gifts of God.” Palm Sunday represents the Holy Week before Jesus death and resurrection. He rode in on foal of a donkey. People were laying palm leaves down and worshiping him. The next week they were yelling “crucify Him.” Matthew 6:25-34 tells us of all the gifts He gave us when He died on the cross for us and resurrected on the third day   The greatest gift of all is our Salvation paid for with His blood. Don’t forget to say thank you.

Please remember the family of Virginia Mae Purdy and others who may have lost loved ones recently and will always be dealing with their heartaches.

Butler Christ Community

Greetings friends, after all the Easter services and festivities we are in the post Easter season. A bit of a let down but no reason to be sad, for we know that God loved us so much that He sent His only Son to us to be our Savior.

The service on Palm Sunday was a real treat, many thanks to Tori, Della, and William for sharing their remarkable talents with us.

The children and youth were part of the service as they entered the sanctuary waving palm branches and singing Hosanna.

After services all the young people were treated to a fun time of searching for Easter eggs.

Our sincere sympathy to the families of Butch Spegal and Carol Smith Mains. Please pray with us for all our sick.

Have a wonderful week and remember God loves you so much!

Come visit us here at 11 a.m. each Sunday to experience a service taken straight from the Bible.

New Life Wesleyan

We love Jesus and we love you! We have classes for all ages and special men's and women's ministry meetings. Children sing a song every Sunday on the pulpit area. We support and attend Community Cooperative of Churches events. We do a twice yearly trash pickup for Pendleton Co. to raise money for a new church parking lot. All ages are welcome. Hope to see you soon.

Oakland

"Do Something" was the theme of the message today, as Jon Hopp said.  He reminded us to look at Jesus and lead by example.  Where is your faith -- do you believe?  What's your reason for not serving others? -- do not ignore God's call!

We had a special morning with our youth involved in the service.  The service was very precious as we witnessed our youth at work for the Lord.  The Easter egg hunt after church was full of children.  Lots of joy!

Youth Committee meeting is 7p.m. on April 8.

Church Board meeting is 6 p.m. on April 15.

Prayer concerns include Janice Bertram, Peggy Jo Ishmael, Tirah Clemons, Jeanine Cox, Jim McCann, Dan Klaber, Kathy Carr, Easton Faulkner, Gerald Barlow, Ernie Richie, Becky Williams, Kathy Bishop, Steve Green, Jay Caldwell, Andrea Hall, Bobby Simpson, Jean Chambers, Diane Moorhead, Julie Sandy, Kelly Cox, Lily McCann, Faye Godman, Ricky Gillespie, Charles Klaber, shut-ins, our military, and cancer issues.

Pleasant Ridge

Bro. Mark’s message was from Mark 11.

As they left Bethany, a fig tree was noticed but there was only leaves no figs.  Jesus said to the tree, you shall never bear fruit again.

When they arrived back to Jerusalem he went to the Temple and began to drive out the merchants and knock over tables of the money changers.  Jesus told them, it is written in the scriptures, My Temple is to be a place of prayer for all nations, but this has been turned into a den of robbers.  When the chief priests and Jewish leaders heard what happened they began planning to get rid of him.  Killing Jesus was their plan.

It is amazing what our Savior has done for us.  There will come a day when Jesus will return.  He is the son of God.

Turner Ridge

Our Sunday service was overflowing with blessings on Palm Sunday. Worship service started by Bro. Dale praying with Gabe, Bradi, Boden and Blake Antrobus.  This was Blake’s first Sunday attending Turner Ridge and we were blessed by her presence! “Behold children are a heritage from the Lord, …” Psalm 127:3.

We then celebrated the Ordinance of Baptism with Davis Platt and Kristin and Austin Callen. “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; …” Mark 16:16.

The children’s message “The Gospel In a Nutshell” was from John 3:16. God loved the world so much that he gave His only son, Jesus to die on the cross to save us from our sin. That’s it in a nutshell!

Brystal Smith-Beighle read Isaiah 53:4-6 followed by the Praise team special, In Christ Alone. Bro. Dale’s message The Blood, from I John 1:5-7, explained how we are Redeemed by the Blood, Cleansed by the Blood, made Holy by the Blood; we then observed the Lord’s Supper, and reflected on all the Lord had done for us.
