Blanket Creek

This week we celebrated 176 years of a little ole country church on Broadford Road, serving, teaching, and witnessing at Blanket Creek Baptist Church.

We started with special music by Gift of Grace. We are always grateful for their music. Brother Craig Tackett revisited us as our speaker. His message was titled “Not Because He Said, But Because of Who He Is.” The scripture Genesis 1 states “In the beginning, God...” God is a community of one. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The single reason most people don’t come to church is because they don’t see it in us. We as Christians need to be a light in our community. God Bless!

Butler Christ Community

Greetings friends, our thoughts are full of Christ’s love and compassion.

Jesus came to earth not to judge, but to guide man to God. Dwell on this thought.

This Saturday we will be going to Maysville to the Gateway Museum and, of course, we will be going somewhere for a lunch together. We can’t wait!

Then we will be at church the next day to feed on the Word of God and then feed on that delicious pot luck meal. We eat a lot here!

The ladies will be meeting on September 15th, for appetizers and business. Ladies, please join us at 7 p.m.

Please join us in prayer for all those on our prayer list and also rejoice with those who have received an answer to their prayers.

We hope you will consider this church when deciding where to go next Sunday. Service begins at 11 a.m., and children have Sunday school at 11:30 a.m.

Mt. Gilead

Services are held on the third Sunday of the month. The next service will be on September 17th at 2 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to the little church on the hill.

Continuing on with fighting through temptation, Bro. Kevin reminded us that the devil wants you to stay an easy prey for him.  Be mindful of I Peter 5:8.

Bro. Mark’s message was from 2 Corinthians 9:15.

Thanks be unto God for this unspeakable gift.  Remember if you give little, you will get little. If a farmer plants a few seeds will get only a small crop, but if he plants much, he will reap much. Does our life show how much God is working through us? God is able to give everything you need and more, so that there will be enough for your own needs, but plenty left over to give joyfully to others.

There is a place that’s even sweeter than America. A place called heaven where if you are a child of God you will go. Why aren’t people coming to know the Lord? It’s up to us to witness to the lost.

Turner Ridge

The children’s worship message was “Showing Our Love For Jesus” from John 14:15-21, and the lesson to learn was that love isn’t something we just say, it’s something you do.

Jon Duncan read the scripture Psalm 100:1-4 followed by the Praise Team special, The Old Rugged Cross. Bro. Dale’s message, Every Member In Ministry: Spiritual Disciplines from 1 Corinthians 9:24-27, pointed out four points: Prayer, Bible Study, Worship, and Service.

Only God is worthy of worship, don’t let other things get in the way of that.

Join us on Sundays and Wednesdays to pray and study God’s word.
