Ladycats freeze Bracken

    The Ladycats travelled to Brooksville last week to take on the Lady Bears of Bracken County. In a game in which neither team found a steady rhythm the Ladycats were able to hold on for a win 44- 36.
    Saniah Thomas erupted for 20 points along with 7 blocks. Sydney Manor gave the team 10 points to keep the Ladycats in front.
    Saturday the Ladycats were at home against Lloyd Memorial. Thomas dominated the first half and showed what a force she can be with consistency in play and ended the game with a double double 16 points and 13 rebounds. Skylar Ashcraft had her best all around game of the season, displaying her ability on both ends of the court. She put up eight points to go along with six rebounds, four deflections, four steals, two blocks, and two assists to complete a strong night of work on the court.
    The Ladycats secured the 50-36 win and moved to 8-6 on the year.
    The JV squad also picked up two wins last week led by Katelin Aulick who had a total of 20 points and Cailyn Harper with a two-game total of 18 points.
    The Freshman team went over to Mason County to play a couple of games against Mason County and Conner.
    They defeated Mason County 38-16 and lost in a close game to 36-32. Allison Aulick had a combined point total of 27, leading the scoring. The Freshman team is now 10-3 on the year.
