The Kentucky Wildcats appear to be coming around just in the nick of time as they notched two more wins last week including a big win at 19th ranked Tennessee on Feb. 20.
The Wildcats first defeated Auburn 82-80 on Feb. 17 behind a double-double effort turned in by freshman Isaiah Jackson (18 points, 11 rebounds) and 17 points from fellow freshman BJ Boston. Kentucky built a 14-point lead during the second half and was able to fend off a strong Auburn rally late to snap a four game losing streak.
Dontaie Allen logged nine minutes and scored three points.
Kentucky put forth perhaps their best showing of the season to date in its 15-point road victory at Tennessee. The Wildcats led early and often as Jackson led four players who reached double-figure with 16 points. Davion Mintz added 15 and Keion Brooks posted 10 points to go with 14 rebounds. Dontaie Allen saw just two minutes of action in this contest as his playing time has decreased considerably this month.
