The 2024 NCAA Tournament did not produce many upsets in the first few days as many of the top seeds advanced to make up the Sweet Sixteen. In fact, this year marks just the fifth time since 1979 that all of the number one and two seeded teams made it through the first two rounds. The biggest name missing from the remaining teams left in the big dance...yep, Kentucky.

In the Falmouth Outlook  Bracket Challenge contest, 56 brackets were received with 18 entries selecting overall number one seed Connecticut with their pick to win the National Championship. The overall number two team Houston had seven entrants select them as champ. The other two number one seeds, Purdue and North Carolina, were also among the higher picked teams to advance through the tournament. There were 11 entries that picked Kentucky to win the tournament.

Currently, Andrew Redden and Dave Maier are tied in first place with 195 points each. Paula Smith, Grant Caldwell, Janet Bruin, Teresa Rarrieck, Eddie Rarrieck, Garrett White, Jack Cady and Shirley Seever are close behind with 185 points.

Looking ahead, Garrett White has the most remaining points available. The NCAA Tournament will resume on March 28 and our next update will be featured in next week's edition.
