Pendleton FFA brings home awards

Pendleton County’s Future Farmers of American Chapter placed second overall in the FFA Northern Kentucky Region Quiz Bowl March 2.

Students competed in two events — the Quiz Bowl and an Agriculture Public Speaking contest.

Quiz Bowl event, team members include Delaney Thompson, Annie Eaton, Jerin O’Hara, and Kade Pollard.

“I learned a lot of new things about FFA, like the years certain things happened, and the people that are on the national FFA team,” Thompson said.

In Agriculture Public Speaking, the Pendleton group took home three award: Klaber Wolfe placed first in the Sheep and Goat category; Lilyana Miller placed second in the Small Animal category; and Kendra Hess placed third in the Fruit and Vegetable Production category.
