Ladycats honor Seniors, wrapping up regular season play

  The Pendleton County Ladycats soccer team dropped two of three games last week as the regular season is near conclusion. 

 On September 18, the Ladycats hosted Villa Madonna and lost 2-0 on Senior Night. Pendleton County goalkeeper Maddy Musk had 11 saves during the loss.  Seniors Cay Harper, Jaelyn Caudill and Ava Record lead the offensive charge getting 11 shots on goal but unable to put any in the net. The Ladycats honored a total of nine seniors and paid tribute to their careers. They include: Annie Eaton, Jamie Danna, Addison Lindsey,  Avery Himes, Cay Harper, Jaelyn Caudill, Ava Record, Maddy Musk and Rachel Schaller.

  The Ladycats traveled to Owen County on September 20 and won 5-0.  Senior Cay Harper had a great game producing three goals and junior Logan Cooper added two goals. Senior Maddy Musk had seven saves for the Ladycats.

 On September 23, the Ladycats traveled to Fleming County and were defeated 2-1.  Senior Avery Himes had the lone goal for Pendleton County.

 The Ladycats will conclude the regular season with three more games this week. On September 26, they will host Gallatin County followed by their home finale on September 29 against Bourbon County. The last regular season game will be on September 30 at Newport Central Catholic.   

 The 38th District Tournament is set to begin on October 2 as the Ladycats will take on Harrison County at 8 p.m. at Mason County.
