Citizens speak on trash pickup

Dear Editor     On May 15, the Pendleton County baseball team picked up trash on Route 10 from the county line to 159 and down Route 159 to Davis Rd. In all we found 17 bags of trash. I would like to thank 22 players and the parents and coaches that helped.  Please remember, do not litter.

Dear Editor     I would like to make some reflections concerning the announcement that Wil Schroder will not seek a third term as state senator. In my world this decision is tantamount to retiring from a job that one could no doubt retain until perpetuity.

Football participates in Adopt-a-Highway program

Dear Editor     On May 15, 2021, Pendleton County High School Football participated in the Adopt-a-Highway program. Our team of 14 players and four coaches cleaned up 27 bags of roadside litter over 10.5 miles of route 17, mostly beverage cans/bottles, food bags and wrappers.

Basketball coaches express appreciation in covid season

Wildcat fans and sponsors     Thank you for everything during this season. The 2020-2021 basketball season was different in a lot of ways. However, the support of people and businesses in Pendleton County remained the same. Our program is greatly appreciative of all you have done for the boys.
