FAITH & VALUES

August 4, 2026

Blanket Creek

We had an awesome VBS this past week. We want to thank everyone who had a part in it and parents for sending their children. We opened Sunday with a puppet show by the youth with the songs they learned in VBS.

The Scripture was Ephesians 2:1-13. What makes you a Christian? It isn’t wearing a cross necklace, singing, going to church or just being a good person. It’s fulfilling His purpose.

Sometimes we don’t like what He has chosen for us to do or where we have to go to do it but we must obey anyway.

So, are you in or out of Christ?

Please remember the sick, shut ins, and the families of Sabina Traylor and the Zink family who lost their 2-year-old child to a tragic accident.

Butler Christ Community

Greetings, friends. Ask yourself, “Do I know Christ personally?” If you aren’t sure, come to your favorite church next Sunday and find out how you can.

In our message on Sunday, pastor Ron gave instructions from Romans 9 how we can have a personal relationship with Christ.

On Aug. 7 at 6:30 p.m., we will have movie night with the film “Miracle at Manchester.”

Then on Aug. 21 at 6:30 p.m., it is adult game night, so bring a snack and let’s have some fun!

The Mount Mission truck will be here Sept. 29.

Please pray with us for our sick, grieving and brokenhearted. Also let’s rejoice together for all those praises we heard Sunday.

Have a wonderful, blessed week. Come and have a personal experience with Christ our Savior.

New Life Wesleyan

Many from our church attended the family camp meeting in Maysville last week. What a blessing to be a part of worshipping God in that old-fashioned tabernacle. Each one that was able to go came home blessed.

God is definitely moving in New Life Wesleyan Church! Souls are being saved, people are being baptized, new members are being added to the roll, and attendees of all ages are finding a closer relationship with God!.

Trinity Southern Baptist

Sunday was another encouraging day at Trinity Southern Baptist Church as we celebrated two baptisms, bringing our total to 36 baptisms in 2026. Every baptism is a reminder that God is still changing lives, and we are grateful for all He continues to do in our church and community. We also had the privilege of praying over Pastor Shane and his wife, who were worshiping with us while on vacation, asking God to strengthen and encourage them in their ministry.

This past week also brought unexpected attention to our church as a social media post explaining our commitment to welcoming children in worship reached more than 100,000 likes and sparked conversations across the country.

The message was simple: children are not a distraction, they are an important part of the church family. You can read more about Pastor Abrams stance on children in church on the Kentucky Today website.

As students, teachers, and school staff prepare to return to the classroom, Trinity is looking forward to several opportunities to support our community. During our worship services, we will have a special time of prayer for students, teachers, and school personnel.

On Saturday, Aug. 9, at 3 p.m., everyone is invited to join us for Prayer at the Schools as we pray over campuses across Pendleton County. Then on Sunday, August 10, we will host our Hope Giveaway, providing free clothing to families in need. Registration is required and can be completed online. We invite our community to join us as we continue serving our neighbors and sharing the hope of Christ.

Turner Ridge Baptist

“According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder, I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it.” 1 Cor. 3:10

This past week we helped build on that foundation, with our church mission trip. Some of those who went gave testimonies Sunday about their experience.

This was a special trip for many as we went and served God at Oakwood Baptist in Cynthiana, served a church in our association, and served a pastor we’ve watched grow up.

Oakwood and Brother Brady Koettel would love to have you visit their church and see what God is doing!

The Great Commission was the title of the children’s message, from Matthew 28:16-20. “… go and make disciples of all nations, …” v. 19. That includes places near and far.

Kandace Winstead read Matthew 28:19-20. These verses give us Jesus Christ’s final instructions. Are we following the directions?
