Chamber of Commerce business of the month

The Pendleton County Chamber of Commerce recognized Styles 101 of 220 Matilda St., Butler, as its Business of the Month for March. Utz has been a staple in the Falmouth and Butler communities for 35 years, providing beauty and barbering services at her salon.

By Burton Cole FALMOUTH — Eleven Pendleton County High School students assumed the roles of city councilmen, business leaders and activists in an economic development simulation last week that officials hope foreshadows a bright community future.

Ladycats Softball receives donations from Cincinnati Reds

For a second consecutive year the Pendleton County Ladycats Fastpitch Softball program was among 24 area high schools awarded free equipment from the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund. The ninth annual "Pitch In For Baseball Equipment Drive" was held at Griffin Elite in Erlanger on January 22.

Outlook wins double

The Falmouth Outlook finished first in the General Excellence categories in both news and advertising on Friday at the annual Kentucky Press Association awards banquet. The Outlook won a combined 42 awards in its division, competing against weekly newspapers across the state.
