Over 100 bills sits on governor’s desk

By Senator Wil Schroder District 24     This week’s 30-day Regular Session activity ended with over 100 bills on the Governor’s desk. Having already completed 28 legislative days, both the House and the Senate raced to approve bills through the process until the figurative and literal 11th hour.

    The Kentucky Senate and House of Representatives convened only two days this week. But in terms of bills passed and the number of hours spent debating legislation, they were two of the busiest legislative days so far this year.

Supreme Court rules in favor of Christian student in critical free speech case

By SCOTT BARKLEY, Kentucky Today WASHINGTON (BP) – In an 8-1 vote, the Supreme Court ruled Monday that $1 in damages is enough to revive the lawsuit of a Georgia college student who said his free speech rights were violated in 2016 as he attempted to share the gospel.
