Library seeking your help for Day of the Dead

Pendleton County Public Library - is at it again - library programming that is. We want to honor our ancestors with a Day of the Dead program. We are looking for folks willing to film a short (two minutes top) segment on a person of your choice.

“The Headless Horseman Gallops Into Town”

The “Legend of Sleepy Hollow” gallops into Falmouth this weekend. The legendary tale, appropriate for retelling by Kincaid Regional Theatre on a crisp fall evening, will be presented by Stonewood Gardens outside at their gazebo grove at 208 Memory Drive, Falmouth, KY on October 9, 10, and 17 at 7pm.

$75,000 winning lottery ticket in Falmouth

A Falmouth woman was skeptical after scratching off a $75,000 Extreme Cash scratch-off ticket and revealing the game’s $75,000 top prize.  “I was kind of stunned,” she said. She had stopped at Bluegrass Discount Tobacco with the intent to play the lottery.

Conservation District cover crop cost-share program

The Pendleton County Conservation District is sponsoring a local cost share program for Pendleton County Landowners, to help with the cost of cover crop rye and wheat cover crop seed.     It’s time to think about cover crops! In recent years there has been a decline in the use of cover crops.

QRT showing continued success

The local QRT (Quick-Responce Team) that was launched in Pendleton County last year to help combat the fight against drugs while providing help for users has seen continued positive results this year.
