This week the message from Genesis 2:18-25 was “The Gift of a Spouse.”  It seems in this day and age couples don’t want to commit to a lifetime of marriage, so they just live together.  God meant for a man and a woman to be together to take care of one another and live a Godly life.  When God places a person in your life, you need to be appreciative of them. We should marry a man/woman who loves the Lord.

Please remember the families of this long list: Carol Mains, Beatrice Bishop, Eugene Hodge, Larry Wayne Hutchinson, Roger Keith, Carson Hughes and the Dalton family.

Butler Christ Community

Greetings friends, we are sending our best wishes for a lovely Easter with family and friends!

Sunrise service in Butler will be celebrated at Butler Christian Church at 7 a.m.

Easter service will be held at each local Butler church, our church service begins at 11 a.m. We welcome you to attend, not only on Easter but every Sunday where you will receive the message straight from the Bible!

We had several testimonies offered during service, what a blessing. It was so good to be in the house of the Lord on Sunday.

Plans are being made for a game night in April.

Also, plans are forthcoming on a VBS for the community and a scholarship dinner in July.

Please pray with us for all those who are sick, sad, brokenhearted, lost, or hopeless.

God bless your Easter. He is Risen!

New Life Wesleyan

Each and everyone of us were so surprised to see our District Superintendent, Bro. Aaron Sherman, walk in today with his beautiful wife, Hannah, and two of their children. Bro. Aaron has been on our prayer list for about eight weeks. Please pray for him as he continues to wait upon God's healing for his liver. Our God can do anything!

Much excitement, testimonies, and  rejoicing was evident in our morning worship service today. To God be the Glory!

People ask "Did Jesus Really Come Back to Life?"  Christians believe in the Resurrection, because we believe in God's existence.  If there was no resurrection, there would be no salvation.  Consider. . .

Bro. Mark’s message was from Isaiah 53.

Isaiah wrote these words 700 years before Jesus went to the cross.  How few believe it, who will listen?  In our eyes there was no attractiveness to make us want him.  He was despised and we didn’t care.  Yet it was our grief and sorrows that weighted him down.  He was bruised and wounded for our sins.  We left God’s path to follow our own.  God laid on him the guilt and sins of every one of us.  He was brought as a lamb to slaughter.  From prison and trial they led him away to death.  Because Jesus was lashed we are healed.  He shall live again!

“Peter’s Confession of Christ” from Matthew 16:13-20 was the children’s message by Bro. Dale. When Jesus asked his disciples who people said he was, there were multiple answers but “… Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Luke Gregg read Acts 1:8 followed by the Praise team special The Commission.  Bro. Andy and Karen Lowe, North American Missionaries were with us as well as their family. On Sunday morning, Bro. Andy brought the moving and inspirational message. He gave us insight into what God can do in our lives. The invitational hymn was Just a Closer Walk With Thee, and the invitation was answered by many. Praise God! We had five make a profession of faith and two more come for membership.

Sunday evening we continued our series from Chip Ingram of what Heaven will be like. For insight read Revelation 21:1-6.  You're welcome to join us for worship and bible study.
