25 Years Ago - August 15, 1995     Sign up now for Licking River Canoe Derby at HFO Expo. Entries are in need for the Licking River Canoe Derby to be held at the Kentucky Hunting and Fishing Outdoor Expo on Saturday August 26 at the Fairgrounds.

25 Years Ago - July 25, 1995     Pendleton County recently entered into a contract with Rumpke Waste, Inc. to provide once a week waste collection to all county residents at $9 a month starting August 1.     New sign at Pendleton County Country Club is unique. It is one of only five in the nation.

25 Years Ago - July 11, 1995     Falmouth one of five new communities welcomed to Ky Main Street program. These communities were welcomed into the program for 1995. The cities are to be commended for their efforts of preservation at the local level.

25 Years Ago - June 27, 1995     Legislators talk with teachers, parents,  and administration about KERA. Discussed were their likes and dislikes of the Kentucky Education Reform Act.

25 Years Ago -June 20, 1995     Curfew goes into effect today it will be unlawful for any person under the age of 18 to be or remain in or upon any public place within city limits from midnight to 6 a.m. Saturday and Sunday and 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.

25 Years Ago - June 13, 1995     Duke Hamilton to be at Butler Restaurant grand opening. Mary Brossart, who recently took over the Butler Restaurant will be having a grand opening and will have a special plate dinner available.     Ammerman’s Hardware sweeper sale this week.

25 Years Ago - June 6, 1995     The 1995 recipient for the Pendleton County High School Wall of Fame is Captain Bryan Kent Nordheim. Nordheim is a 1985 graduate and the son of Linda Thornton, assistant principal at Pendleton High School and Bobby Nordheim.

25 Years Ago - May 30, 1995     Pool opens at Kincaid Lake State Park for Memorial Day Weekend kicking off festivities. The 8oo acre park offers a wide variety of entertainment to escape the hectic work world and enjoy solitude and relaxation.

25 Years Ago - May 9, 1995     Falmouth City Council okays plans for new drug store. The drug store will be built in the vacant lot next to Dr. Wilbur Wilson’s office on West Shelby Street. The lot adjoining it will also be developed.     Amy Moreland has been named NKU Athlete of Distinction.

25 Years Ago - May 2, 1995     Buy a creme pie at Wyatt’s Super Valu and help Project Grad. The goal is to sell 500 creme pies this week.
