LOS ANGELES – Kentucky men’s basketball players Brandon Boston Jr. and Olivier Sarr were tabbed to the John R. Wooden Award Watch List, awarded annually by the Los Angeles Athletic Club to the nation’s most outstanding player.

Rhyne Howard Named to Wooden Award Preseason Top 30

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Rhyne Howard, who was a 2019-20 Wooden Award All-American, has been named to the John R. Wooden Award Women’s Preseason Top 30 Watch List, which is comprised of 30 student-athletes who are the early front-runners for one of the most prestigious honors in college basketball.

Wildcats reach District Championship

     A season to remember. The 2020 Pendleton County football season ended with a 39-0 loss to rival Fleming County in the 3A state playoffs. The Panthers bested the Wildcats 41-0 earlier in the season.     For the Wildcats, this game was more about pride.

Edwards Leads No. 11 Kentucky Past Belmont

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Dre'una Edwards set career highs with 27 points and 15 rebounds as No. 11 Kentucky topped Belmont 70-50 on Sunday afternoon at Memorial Coliseum. KeKe McKinney and Chasity Patterson each had 10 points for Kentucky, while Robyn Benton and Blair Green had nine points apiece.

Hagans Signs Two-Way Contract with Minnesota Timberwolves

MINNEAPOLIS – Former Kentucky men’s basketball point guard Ashton Hagans’ deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves became official Saturday. Hagans, one of the best on-ball defenders in school history, has signed a two-way contract.

No. 6 Florida gets started late, hands struggling Cats 34-10 loss

By KEITH TAYLOR, Kentucky Today Once Florida got started, they were hard to stop. The sixth-ranked Gators used a punt return to close out the first half that led to 27 unanswered points in a 34-10 win over Kentucky in Gainesville on Saturday.
