Kentucky High School Basketball HOF to induct 2 classes in 2021

Kentucky Today, ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – The Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame will have two induction ceremonies in 2021 at the State Theatre and have several other activities planned throughout the year in its promotion basketball in the commonwealth.

Jones selected to Braves opening day roster

    An offseason filled with vigorous training, determination and confidence has paid off for veteran big league reliever and Pendleton Countian Nate Jones. Following an impressive spring training stint with the Atlanta Braves, he was formally selected to the club’s opening day roster on March 27.

Pendleton sweeps Polar Bears off the tennis courts

    Both the girls and boys tennis teams had their first home match of the season with Bracken County. Both teams beat the Polar Bears 5-0.     On the girls side, singles were Maddie Duff winning 8-0, Shelby King winning 8-4 and Alana Vickerstaff 8-0.     Both doubles pairing had an easy time.

Fuller flies to first in long jump

    Coen Fuller flew across the Bracken County hilltops in the Bracken County Border Clash for a first place finish in Long Jump.     He posted a distance of 19’ 1 1/4” which was almost a foot further than teammate Kensey Elliot who finished second.

Wildcats have new appreciation entering this season

    After a yearlong hiatus from baseball due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Head Coach Colin Duffie and Wildcat baseball are ready to return to Iler Field with a purpose. Since Duffie has taken over as coach of the Wildcats, he has laid a solid foundation the program had lacked several years prior.

Ladycats eager to meet HIGH EXPECTATIONS

     Spring sports season is back!     After being nixed a year ago due to the onset of the pandemic, the Pendleton County Ladycats Fastpitch Softball team is back and on a mission to not only repeat the magic they produced in 2019, but ascend to even greater success.

Jones dominant during spring thus far

    It's been smooth sailing so far for Pendleton County native Nate Jones as he looks to earn his place onto the Atlanta Braves opening day roster.     Jones, 35, has looked very much like his old self during the first couple of weeks of spring training.
