    Florence Speedway was back on the track this weekend and Josh Rice took first in the A Main followed by Trevor Landrum and Kody Evans. In the Modified feature Adam Stricker took the checkered flag with Brandon Green second and Brian Skaggs in third.

Wildcats are All Stars

    The Kentucky State Region All Star Bowling Championship was held on April 25, 2021 in Louisville Kentucky at Fern Valley Strikes and Spares. Each region sent 12 of their best bowlers to represent their region at the competition.

Regional tennis tournament serves up on Wednesday

     Pendleton County High School tennis had a strong run of KHSAA State appearnces going till covid outbreak in the spring of 2020 resulted in the cancellation of the state meet.

Jones goes Hollywood, signs with Dodgers

     It didn’t take long for Pendleton County native Nate Jones to find a new home in continuing his big league pitching career. The veteran righthander was signed by the defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers on May 14.

Ladycats split four, now 16-10 overall

    The Pendleton County Ladycats took care of business in a home doubleheader versus district foe Robertson County on May 11, but fell to a pair of 9th region opponents and now sit at 16-10 as the regular season begins to wind down.

Wildcats beat Augusta and Calvary Christian

    Pendleton County baseball went 2-1 over the past week improving their overall record on the season to 11-12 overall. All three of their games over the past week were against 10th Region opponents.     The Wildcats kicked off last week with a 10-8 win against Augusta.

Wildcats swing past Bulldogs

    Pendleton County baseball finished out their week at 1-2. Their overall record on the season currently stands at 9-11. Their overall district record sits at 2-4.     The Wildcats started off the week with a close 7-5 loss to Covington Holy Cross.

Ladycats “Senior Night” honors trio

    The Pendleton County Ladycats returned to action on May 7 following a rainy weather pattern that forced some cancellations. The club hosted Cooper and held its annual “Senior Night” festivities honoring the careers of Olivia Verst, Sydney Manor and Karleigh Prater.

Huge improvements for tennis as they prepare for regionals

    According to Head Coach Lisa Feltner, her team made huge gains this week.     “The biggest surprise on paper this week is the huge improvement of most of our players.  We knew they were getting better and playing better – but the paper says it best.
