    Pendleton County baseball finished out their week at 1-2. Their overall record on the season currently stands at 9-11. Their overall district record sits at 2-4.     The Wildcats started off the week with a close 7-5 loss to Covington Holy Cross.

Ladycats “Senior Night” honors trio

    The Pendleton County Ladycats returned to action on May 7 following a rainy weather pattern that forced some cancellations. The club hosted Cooper and held its annual “Senior Night” festivities honoring the careers of Olivia Verst, Sydney Manor and Karleigh Prater.

Braves designated Jones for assignment

     Among a series of transactions aimed at improving its underachieving bullpen, the Atlanta Braves optioned Pendleton County resident Nate Jones to its Triple-A affiliate and then designated him for assignment on May 7, likely ending the pact between the veteran relief pitcher and franchise.

UK Men’s Basketball Adds Orlando Antigua, Ron Coleman to Staff

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky men’s basketball coaching staff has undergone an offseason transformation with a familiar face in Orlando Antigua returning to the UK bench and another top assistant from Illinois in Ronald “Chin” Coleman coming onboard.

10th Region Champs

    The Pendleton County High School cheerleading team competed in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) Region 5 championship at Pulaski County High School on May 1. It was their first in-person competition since their national competition in February of 2020.

Smith signs to play baseball at KCU

    Pendleton County senior Alex Smith has officially signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Kentucky Christian University in Grayson, Kentucky.     Smith joins teammate and fellow senior Andrew Jordan as the class of 2021 college baseball signees.
