Wildcats split pair of games in Gatlinburg

By Sam McClanahan The Pendleton County Wildcats ventured south to Gatlinburg, TN to take part in the Smokey Mountain Winter Classic, the program's first out-of-state trip since 2015. The Wildcats first took on Trion High from Georgia on December 27 and suffered a 54-52 loss.

Ladycats pick up win at Dayton, lose to Elliott County at holiday tournament

By: Stacey Myers The Pendleton County Ladycats picked up their third road win and fourth win overall with a 61-52 victory at Dayton on December 18.   Junior Kearstin Mayer scored 19 points, all of them in the second half of the game and grabbed five rebounds to lead the team to victory.

Wildcats match win total from last season with home victory over Bishop Brossart

By: Sam McClanahan  The resurrection of the Pendleton County Wildcats boys basketball program is in full effect following a 72-58 win over Bishop Brossart on December 20. The team now has six wins in its first 10 games, matching their total already from last season.

Bowling teams notch wins to close out December

By: Rhonda Hutchison  The Pendleton County Bowling team closed out the month of December by picking up wins in boys match play, as well as girls and unified action.  On December 18, the Wildcats/Ladycats went to the lanes against Highlands.

Graham named new Wildcats head football coach

By Sam McClanahan  On December 14, Pendleton County High School broke the news that 34-year-old Jaegger Graham of Savannah, GA had been hired as the new head coach for the Wildcats football program.

Wildcats defeat Manchester, now sit at 4-3

By: Sam McClanahan  After a successful opening week to their season, the Pendleton County Wildcats basketball team fell in a mini-slump that saw them drop three straight. However, the team was able to notch their fourth victory over Manchester, OH.

PCHS bowlers set personal records in busy week

On December 5, the Ladycats bowling team faced the Cooper Jaguars. In the first round, the Jaguars came out hot and secured both points. Not to go down easily, the Ladycats fought back and split the round two points making the score 3-1 in favor of Cooper.

Ladycats defeat Williamstown and Boone to begin season

 By: Stacey Myers The Pendleton County Ladycats started their season with two victories in three games as they clinched road wins at Williamstown and Boone County.   On November 27, the Ladycats defeated Williamstown 63-36.
