The Sharp Middle School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America chapter took a group of 11 students to the regional STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition events competition at Pendleton County High School. The different groups showed their knowledge of entrepreneurship, job interviews, national programs in action, community service, chapter service project display, chapter service project portfolio, and career investigation. The various individuals and groups will compete at the state FCCLA conference April 23 to 25 at the Galt House in Louisville. SMS FCCLA Club Sponsor Cindy Cummins said, “Winners at state will have the option to go on to compete at the national FCCLA conference in Florida this July.”
