Council not eager to give up city fire department

By Carolyn Reid FALMOUTH — In response to a proposal from Pendleton County Fiscal Court to take over the city fire department, Councilwoman Amy Hurst stated she wanted to see “more meat” to the proposal.The proposal from fiscal court was that the county purchase the department and its equipment.

Schools offer incentives to recruit bus drivers

By Burton Cole BUTLER — Short of bus drivers, the Pendleton County School District is ready to pay current drivers $1,500 for every new driver they recruit.

PCHS Bowling finishes runner-up at Holy Cross, scores road win over Bishop Brossart

By Rhonda Hutchison On November 16, the Pendleton County bowling team participated in the Holy Cross High School Team Baker Event. Five team members had to bowl two seeding games each.The Wildcats had a total pin count of 1732 and seeded fourth out of 15 boys teams.
