On November 16, the Pendleton County bowling team participated in the Holy Cross High School Team Baker Event. Five team members had to bowl two seeding games each.
The Wildcats had a total pin count of 1732 and seeded fourth out of 15 boys teams. Once the seeding was completed the head to head competition began. The head to head format was the first team to win two baker games would advance to the next round, loser would go home. The Wildcats first match was against St Henry Co-ed. Pendleton County took the first match in two games 195-67 and 170-101 moving them to the next round against Simon Kenton #2. Again, the Wildcats made fast work of it and defeated their opponent in two games 147-142 and 224-153 moving them on to the final four. In this match they went up against Simon Kenton #1. Suffering their first loss of the match 164-140, the team took a moment to regroup.
Without missing a beat the Pendleton County took the next two baker games defeating Simon Kenton #1 and advancing to the finals against rival Boone County Rebels. In the first baker game the Wildcats suffered a loss 287-170. Again the new team rallied and won the second baker game 223-212. Now it was all tied up and whomever won the next game took the tournament. Although the Wildcats fought hard they went down with a score 197-155. The tournament winners were Boone County with the Wildcats coming in runner up overall. The following bowlers attended the tournament: Maddie Crawford, Emma-Lee Chappell, Kree Brewer, Kyan Brewer, Braden Brann, Adam Straus. Kyan Brewer was named as the #1 bowler on the Boys All Tournament Team.
The Wildcats were back at Southern Lanes in Alexandria on November 21 for a match against Bishop Brossart. Pendleton County started the night with a roar taking the first four points of the night. Adam Straus led the team during the first game with a 202 while Kyan Brewer led the team the second game with a 211. Individual games scored as follows: Braden Brann 187-189, Kree Brewer 141-205, Kyan Brewer 188-211, Jordan Ewers 143-124, Dylan Beckett 77-61, Adam Straus 202-185, Maddie Crawford 183-191. In the first bakers game the Wildcats showed the Brossart no mercy taking the fifth point with a score of 180 to 124. The Mustangs did rally and took the last baker point. Pendleton County took total pin count and the match win 6-1.
