PCHS senior ends term on board of ed

By Burton Cole BUTLER — “You did a great job serving,” Pendleton County Schools Superintendent Joe Buerkley told high school senior Ava Record at her final Board of Education meeting.Each year, one student serves on the Board of Education, representing students.

By Nila HarrisBUTLER —  On April 19, Northern Elementary School’s Bobcat Council took four years’ worth of pop can tabs to Cincinnati’s Ronald McDonald’s House.The RMH exchanges the pop tabs for money at a local recycling center. There is more aluminum in the tab than the entire can.

Pendleton Students awarded at State Leadership Conference

By Hannah Thomas Pendleton County Family Career Community Leaders of America, previously Future Homemakers of America, traveled to Louisville March 26 to 29 for the State Leadership Conference.A total of 20 Pendleton County High School students and 10 Sharp Middle School students attended.
