Larson wins Chili Bowl, Lanigan finishes third at Sunshine Nationals

    Kyle Larson won the A Main on Tuesday night during Chili Bowl Week. It was his fourth straight time winning the event. He continued his winning ways by capturing the feature on Saturday night giving him back to back wins as champion of the Chili Bowl.  
    The Sunshine Nationals for Late Models kicked off the racing season. After some excitement in the prelims, the feature saw Kyle Strickler win his first World of Outlaws win. He had to hold off Scott Bloomquist in the final laps to secure the win.     
    Local driver Darrell Lanigan finished in third place after starting outside third row in the feature. Earlier in the week, Lanigan had the second fastest time for his group starting in the front for the heat race. Fighting for the lead in the nightly feature, Lanigan and Cade Dillard made contact, spinning Lanigan out leading to a sixteenth place finish.
    In a follow up from last week NASCAR is requiring driver Hailie Deegan to take sensitivity classes for her remark made over Twitch.She must complete the classes before the 2021 season begins.
    The Daytona 500 is just 27 days away and kicks off the NASCAR season. The race will be aired on Fox and will be the first event with Jeff Gordon and Clint Bowyer working together in the booth.
