Ladycat Youth Volleyball sign-ups underway

Pendleton County Recreation is always looking to offer more opportunities for the PC youth to participate, be active and learn.  With that mission in mind, the Ladycat Volleyball Youth League will start this October and run through the Monday before Thanksgiving.

This being the first year of youth volleyball, the setting will be more instructional and less competitive as the young Ladycats learn.

Each young lady will receive a PC Volleyball shirt and a youth volleyball to keep and practice with their parents at home.

Registration forms are being distributed at each of the elementary schools as well as Sharp Middle School but also can be downloaded at and clicking on Recreation/Sports. Forms should be returned by mail or can be dropped off between the hours of 5-9 p.m. at the Rec Office.

The program goal is for a 2nd/3rd grade league that will practice on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8 p.m. at the PCHS auxiliary gym as well as Saturday mornings from 9:30-11 am.

There will also be a 4th-6th grade league that will practice on Thursday nights from 6:30-8:00 at the PCHS auxiliary gym as well as Saturday mornings from 9:30-11:00 am.  Only 6th graders that were not on the Sharp Volleyball traveling team are eligible.

If you have any questions, you can contact, or Volleyball Youth Director, or call the Pendleton County Recreation Office at 859-654-5800.
