New Scoutmaster Marion Courts invites youth to get involved with Boy Scouts

Pendleton County Boy Scouts Troop 806 has a new scout leader. Marion Courts has taken over for departing leader Martin Lemon. Courts officially assumed the duties on January 1.

“It’s an honor to be the new Scout leader,” said Courts. “Martin did an excellent job and I hope I can fill his shoes."

“I invite all boys ages 11-18 to come out and be a part of our troop. We do a number of activities and I think the youth of the community would really enjoy it. A lot of people don’t think Pendleton County has enough activities for young people but Boy Scouts presents many great opportunities such as hiking, camping, fundraisers, lock-ins and many outdoor activities just to name a few things.”

Troop 806 meets from 7-9 p.m. every Monday night at Butler Methodist Church except in the event of bad weather.

If you have questions or would like more information please call 859-654-6144.

Parents are invited and encouraged to become involved with Boy Scouts too.
