At 7:45 p.m on Saturday, April 24 the doors opened for Pendleton County High School’s 2021 Prom. Generously hosted by Broken Arrow Farm, students danced the night away to music blasted by DJHARTBEATZ. It was a return to a normal end of the year in a two year stretch that has been anything but normal for them.
Food was provided by The Kentucky Millstone, a local PC business.
Also, a great photo opportunity spot for students to take their own pictures as well as LifeTouch for professional ones were offered in the venue.
Prior to the dance day, PCHS seniors vote for four young men and four ladies to be on the Prom Court and ballot for Prom King and Queen. Nominees for King included Tredyn Thomas, Daniel Dietrich, Jordan Peluso, and Justin Peluso. Queen nominees were Maggie Burgemier, Emma Record, Jordan Kirsch, and Sydney Manor.
Seniors also poll from the nominees for who wins prom royalty. Announced and presented by Senior Council members Karleigh Prater and Olivia Verst, Jordan Kirsch was crowned your 2021 Prom Queen and Daniel Dietrich, your 2021 Prom King.
Students would love to give a huge shoutout to all of the people who made the night possible and as amazing as it was. This includes administrators, teachers who volunteered their Saturday to chaperone, School Resource Officer Jones, staff of Broken Arrow, and so many more.
Given the struggle the Class of 2021 and students this year have had to endure, prom was a well-deserved treat the students are grateful to have had the opportunity for at all.
