PCHS students return to post-its of praise

Students at Pendleton County High School were welcomed back after Presidents’ Day in a special way. Each locker in the school was decorated with an encouraging note written by a school faculty member.

According to Pendleton County High School Principal Matt Shafer, “There are so many negative stories out there, we just wanted a tangible way to show our students how much we loved them.”

“Our staff is very intelligent but also very caring and I think it showed by how they took this idea. This was all about how much our teachers love their students,” he continued.

This project was done in light of recent attacks within the public school system from around the nation and the unease students are feeling.
