PCHS to host “Coming Home" Reception

A “Coming Home” Reception will be held at Pendleton County High School in conjunction with the Wildcats basketball game against Grant County on Friday, January 15. The reception will be held in the cafeteria beginning at halftime of the second game and throughout the third quarter.

There will also be a recognition of alumni of all schools and graduating classes by decade in the main gym between the two varsity games. All alumni are asked to sign in at the registration table.

Special guests will be alumni of the 50th anniversary classes of 1966 from both Falmouth High School and Pendleton County High School as well as the Pendleton County High School 25th anniversary Class of 1991.

A real treat of this event is the annual performance by the PCHS Alumni Band.

Pendleton County Schools’ Alumni Organization and Pendleton County Education Foundation will host the event. Alumni of Butler, Falmouth, Morgan and Pendleton County High School as well as current and former faculty are invited to attend.

An opportunity will be available that evening to join or renew your affiliation with the organization through a minimum five dollar a person donation. Those who join or renew membership will have an opportunity to win a number of door prizes.

New this year is the revival of the Sock Hop. The dance will be held in the auxiliary gym located off the main gym lobby immediately following the game and is open to all alumni and faculty in attendance. The dance will feature favorite dance music through the decades and will be an extension of the reception. There is no admission charge for the Sock Hop. Donations will be accepted at the door for those who want to help cover the cost of the event as well as the efforts of the Pendleton County Schools Alumni Organization.

If you cannot be in attendance that evening and have an interest in supporting the Pendleton County Schools Alumni Organization, send your check made payable to the Pendleton County Education Foundation (PCEF) to: Karen Delaney; 2046 US Hwy. 27 North; Falmouth, Kentucky 41040. With your donation, include the following information: Pendleton County High School that you attended, your graduation year and a personal contact. Cancelled checks will serve as receipts and member donations to the Pendleton County Schools Alumni Organization made through the Pendleton County Education Foundation are tax deductible.
