Norman “Fred” Workman, 80
Norman “Fred” Workman, 80, of Foster, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at his home.
He was born in Spencer, West Virginia on November 13, 1937, son of the late Jay and Mamie Thompson Workman.
Norman was a Veteran of the United States Air force, serving from 1956 to 1958.
He was a Pastor at Mentor Baptist Church, New Bank Lick Baptist Church, Turner Ridge Baptist Church, Berlin Baptist Church, and Gum Lick Baptist Church. Norman also became the director of Missions in the Union Association.
Preceded in death, in addition to his parents, were siblings, Robert Workman, Evelyn Labonbard, and Janet Needs.
Surviving are wife, Lilly McCalvin Workman; children, Michael Jay (Mary) Workman, Sandy (Donnie) Gabbard, Greg Workman, and Robin (Tom) Koettel; brother, John Workman; twin sister, Frances Knapp; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Arrangements will be held at the Turner Ridge Baptist Church, under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home. The funeral service was Friday, March 16. Graveside service was held at the Gumlick Cemetery.
