James Robert Simon, 65

James (Jim) Robert Simon, 65, passed away of natural causes in St. Augustine, Florida, February 3, 2017. He was traveling the country and visiting family and friends.  

Born on December 5, 1951, in Butler, Jim was an artist, historian, and storyteller. He served as President of the Boston Union Church Foundation and was active in the restoration work for the Boston Union Church and cemetery.  

He was preceded in death by his father, William Lincoln Simon (2013) and mother, Dorothy Jean Simon (2015). 

He is survived by his daughter Hannah Simon of Phoenix, AZ, son Max Simon, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, three grandchildren, Jordan Behrend, Tyler Behrend, and Aiden Simon, his sisters, Vicki Simon (Bill Angner) and Becky Simon of Butler and Lisa Simon of Bellevue. 

A memorial and celebration of life ceremony are being planned for June 17 where his memory will be celebrated by family and friends. If interested in viewing memories, you may visit www.facebook.com/jimsimon51.
