James Miles, 71, of Butler, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the Select Specialty Hospital of St. Elizabeth Health Care, Ft. Thomas. He was born in Harrison County on December 2, 1942 to the late Shelby and Dorothy McKinney Miles, was a mechanic who loved fishing and flying model planes and formerly, he owned Miles Hobby Shop, Latonia. Preceding him in death, in addition to parents, were brother, Shelby Allen Miles and nephew, John Miles. Surviving are children, Dale (Amy) Miles, Edgewood, Eric Miles, Rodney (Patti) Miles and Lisa (Johnny) Cobb, all of Falmouth; brother, Roger (Diane) Miles, Butler; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Bro. Joe Hall officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Paul Miles, Jeff Miles, Johnny Cobb, Dales Miles, Eric Miles and Rodney Miles. Interment took place at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Pendleton County.
