Curtis Ray Sandy, 68

Curtis Ray Sandy, 68, of Cynthiana, formerly of Falmouth, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017, as a result of an automobile accident.   

Born on February 8, 1949 in Four Oaks (Falmouth, KY), he was the son of Maybelle Sharp Sandy and the late John Wilbur Sandy, who preceded him on July 11, 1985. Curtis retired from Spade Corporation in Georgetown, KY, as a project foreman after 29 years of service. Currently, he was employed at BK Plumbing with his sons, Brad and Brian, and he was a member of the Elks Lodge #438 in Cynthiana. Curtis loved his family, and he was a true friend to many.

In addition to his mother, Maybelle Sandy of Falmouth, KY, he is survived by his two sons, Brad (Shanon) Sandy of Peach Grove, KY and Brian (Tonya) Sandy of Lenoir City, TN; two grandchildren, Erin (Josh) of Southgate, KY and Jake (Paige) of Hebron, KY; his sister, Carol (Charles) Klaber of Neave, KY; his brother, Greg (Regina) Sandy of Falmouth, KY;  his beloved companion, Sandra Catron of Cynthiana, KY; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he dearly loved.  

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017, at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Kevin Barnard officiating. The visitation was from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.   

Interment will take place in the Battle Grove Cemetery in Cynthiana.
