Charles William "Billy" Carr, 89
Charles William "Billy" Carr, 89, of Foster, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Sunday, October 5, 2014 at St. Elizabeth, Edgewood.
He was born in Melbourne on September 28, 1925 to the late Charles Edward and Garnett Colvin Carr, severed his country in the United States Army during WWII, retired from Siemens in Norwood, Ohio, after 38 years and was a member of Falmouth Baptist Church and sang in the choir.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was brother, Clifford Carr.
Surviving are wife, Emma Weisbrodt Carr of 66 years; children, Stan (Kathy) Carr and Linda (Mike) Hall; brothers, Norman Carr and Bob Carr; sisters, Wanda Ferguson and Helen Mays; grandchildren, Tony (Robin) Hall, Kelly Boone, Nicholas (Bailee) Carr; and great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Autumn, Logan, Chloe, Kendall and Liam.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Peoples Funeral Home, Butler, with funeral services at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Falmouth Baptist Church under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home.
Interment will take place at Lenoxburg Cemetery under full military honors.
