Donny Schatz is still one short of 300 victories as his ignition quit working with two laps to go. Schatz was just one mile from win 300 which he is sure to pick up soon at another track.

A lot of drivers have changed teams and new color schemes which will be confusing at first for most fans. One new driver to watch for is Chase Briscoe who at times dominated the Xfinity series last season. Team Hendrick has a strong stable of drivers again this year and with the addition of Kyle Larson may be the team to beat. Ryan Newman returns to the track that almost killed him last season in a horrific wreck. In interviews, he has seemed very focused and ready to get back on the track without worry.
Alex Bowman has to feeling a little nervous as he steps into the #48 car replacing NASCAR Legend Jimmie Johnson.
At this time Martin Truex Jr. still has not finalized a contract with Joe Gibbs Racing although Truex has said both sides have been talking and negotiations are moving forward.
