Community forum, May 22

The seventh annual Pendleton County Community Forum will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Falmouth School Center. This year's forum is being hosted by the Pendleton County Youth Leadership Class of 2015 in collaboration with the Pendleton County Community Development Office. A reception will start at 6 p.m. with Graeter’s ice cream, chocolate cake and coffee. Discussion will start at 6:30 p.m. and is expected to last a couple of hours.

The purpose of the annual forum is to bring together community leaders and groups to discuss issues of importance to Pendleton County’s future. Issues expected to be discussed include, but are not limited to, the following: improvements to police, fire and ambulance services, protection of farm land and cultural and rural heritage, improvements in education both for school age children and adults seeking a better paying job, job growth and worker training county-wide, the redevelopment of the downtown business districts of Falmouth and Butler, sewer and waterline development, improvements in parks and recreation, new attractions, and bringing new businesses and industry to the community.

Grace Beebe, Pendleton County Youth Leadership Class of 2015, will be moderator of the forum with assistance of Allison Lenox, Madison Sydnor, Seth Longworth and members of the 2015 class.
