Illegal decorative contact lenses used with Halloween costumes pose as a safety hazard

Everyone wants to look his or her best for Halloween. For many people, that means wearing decorative contact lenses to change their eye color or create the effect of being a character like a cat, zombie or vampire.

The Kentucky Optometric Association recommends talking to your doctor first and obtaining a prescription before incorporating decorative contact lenses as part of your costume.
