School Board to purchase buses

In the October 16, 2014 meeting of the Pendleton County Board of Education a motion was made to purchase two new school buses for $195,114. One was a regular bus, the other was a special needs bus. The motion received a second and the vote to purchase was two over one. Due to the fact that only three board members were present and that it takes three members voting in favor of an item to pass it the motion did not pass. The matter was postponed until the Board’s next meeting.
