School Board again fails to support retired teachers

Superintendent Anthony Strong invited board members to enter into a cogent dialogue at the November 19, 2015 meeting of the Pendleton County School Board, regarding a proposal from the Kentucky Education Association (KEA) for School Boards across the Commonwealth to show their support for efforts to find a funding solution in light of the legislature’s failure to provide their promised part of the financing of Kentucky Retired Teachers Association’s retirement program. The show of support asked for by KEA is in the form of a petition to the state legislature in favor of a solution to this serious problem for retired and currently employed teachers in the state.
